How to check Namibia visa exemption
Namibia Tourism Board information lists nationalities that do not require a visa and separately lists nationalities that can apply for Visa on Arrival. The lists are not interchangeable and can change over time.
Travellers should check the passport nationality, travel purpose and length of stay against the current published position. Even where a visa is not required, the passport, blank pages, return ticket and entry questions remain relevant.
If the passport is not in the exempt group, check the Visa on Arrival or another visa route instead of assuming visa-free entry.
Exemption checklist
- Passport nationality and type
- Date of entry
- Purpose of travel
- Length of stay
- Return or onward ticket
- Current entry list
Current-rules reminder: Visa categories, required information, fees, processing guidance and entry conditions can change. Check the live travel service and your airline or border instructions before departure.
Exemption cautions
- Do not use an exemption for work or study without checking.
- Do not rely on a list saved from a prior year.
- Do not confuse visa exemption with Visa on Arrival.
- Check transit and airline rules separately.
