Vietnam e-Visa Information & Entry Overview

Vietnam e-Visa is an electronic visa introduced in 2017 for foreigners who want to enter Vietnam for tourism, business, or transit purposes. It can be issued as a single- or multiple-entry permit allowing visits of up to 90 days. The validity starts one day prior to the selected date and extends for 90 days as well. Thanks to the Vietnam electronic visa system, e-Visa holders do not need to wait in long lines upon their arrival.

Important Update: Pre-Arrival Information Scheme

The Vietnamese authorities have introduced the Pre-Arrival Information scheme. All travelers need to complete the Vietnam Pre-Arrival Card before their entry into the country. It is essential to note that the Vietnamese arrival card is not equivalent to a visa. If you have already been granted a visa for Vietnam, remember to also complete the Pre-Arrival Card prior to your travel.
