Oman eVisa for land-border travellers
The Oman eVisa FAQ says a tourist travelling by road should apply for a tourist visa through the online visa service before entering Oman by a legal border. A road itinerary therefore needs visa planning before the drive, not only at the checkpoint.
Check the nationality and GCC-residence result, passport validity, vehicle or driver requirements and the border’s current operating conditions. A visa that is suitable for an airport arrival may still need to be matched with the actual route.
Keep the visa or reference, passport and supporting travel evidence available. Border hours, insurance and vehicle requirements are separate from the visa decision.
