What does a Bahrain single-entry visa allow?
Under Bahrain's visa rules, a single-entry visa allows one entry and a stay of up to two weeks (14 days). The same single-entry structure exists as an eVisa and as a visa on arrival, depending on your nationality. Once you leave Bahrain the entry is used, and returning needs a new visa or a multiple-entry visa.

Validity versus length of stay
Two different clocks apply. The first is the period in which you must use the approved visa. The second is the length of stay, which is counted from the day you enter Bahrain. If your visa is approved on 1 March, you must enter within three months, and a 14-day stay is then counted from your entry date, not from the approval date.
Check the dates and entry type shown on your issued visa before you book flights and hotels.
When single entry fits and when it does not
- It fits a holiday or short business trip with one arrival and one departure inside 14 days.
- It does not fit a trip with several exits and returns. A day trip to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway and back counts as leaving Bahrain and uses the single entry.
- It does not fit repeat visits within a few months. A multiple-entry visa is designed for that, for example the 3-month option at BHD 16 with a one-month stay per visit.
Can I extend a single-entry stay?
Stay extensions are handled through Bahrain's Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) service channels and carry a fee. They are not guaranteed, so plan your trip around the 14-day limit rather than counting on an extension.
Overstaying can lead to fines and problems on future visits. Leave before the permitted stay ends or arrange an extension in time.

What a single-entry visa does not cover
- Employment. Working in Bahrain requires a work permit arranged by a Bahraini employer through the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).
- Residence. A visit visa does not allow you to live in Bahrain.
- A stay longer than the period shown on the visa.
- A purpose other than the one you declared, such as a business activity on a tourist application.
