Visa-free does not mean one rule for every passport
The Department of Immigration maintains a separate list of nationals who do not require visas to enter Zambia.
Visa-free travelers should still confirm passport validity, entry conditions, length of stay and any current border requirements. The entry officer may assess the traveler’s documents on arrival.
What to check before using visa-free entry
- Confirm the passport nationality is on the official visa-free list
- Check the permitted stay and travel purpose
- Carry passport, accommodation and onward evidence
- Confirm any special border or health requirements
Keep the category current
- Do not rely on an old list or a third-party summary.
- Visa-free status can be different from visa-on-arrival or prior-to-travel status.
- If your passport is not listed, use the correct official visa channel.
