The 4-Step Application Workflow
Do not open the application portal until you have a physical copy of your passport in front of you. Attempting to apply from memory is the leading cause of invalid eVisas.
1. Confirm Eligibility & Expiration Mathematics
Before applying, verify that your nationality is on the approved list of 95 ASAN-eligible countries. Azerbaijan law dictates your passport must remain valid for at least three months beyond the expiration date of your intended eVisa. Because the visa grants a 90-day window, your passport must be valid for roughly six months from the day you submit the form.
2. Enter Passport-Exact Details
Data entry must be flawless. Enter your full legal name, date of birth, and passport number exactly as they are printed on the biographical page of your document. If you have a suffix or middle name printed in the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of your passport, include it. A single typographical error will render the approved visa invalid at the border.
3. Upload a Flawless MRZ Document Scan
You must upload a clear, color scan of your passport's biographical page (max file size 2 MB, JPEG/PNG format only). Ensure that the two lines of text and chevrons (<<<) at the bottom of the passport page are entirely visible, uncropped, and free of light glare or shadows. PDF uploads are not permitted.
4. Select Your Processing Speed
The system offers two legal review speeds. Standard processing is generally completed within 72 working hours. If your flight is imminent, you must select Urgent Processing, which pushes your application to the front of the queue for a decision within 3 hours. Never book non-refundable flights relying purely on standard processing times.
Once you click submit and process your payment, the application is locked. It is impossible to edit a name, change a passport number, or swap a document upload. If you realize you made a mistake after payment, you must submit and pay for an entirely new application.
