Azerbaijan eVisa Eligible Countries: Check Before You Start
Eligibility depends on the passport you will use for travel. Temporary visa-free rules can also change the correct route for some nationalities.
Azerbaijan eVisa at a Glance
| eVisa eligibility | Available only to eligible passport holders and qualifying residents |
|---|---|
| Temporary visa-free rules | Apply to selected nationalities for defined dates and entry limits |
| Dual nationals | Apply with the passport you will use to travel |
| Next step | Confirm the live route before paying for an application |
Why Your Passport Matters More Than Your Residence
The Azerbaijan eVisa route is connected to the nationality shown in the travel document. If you hold more than one passport, select the country that matches the passport you will carry. Do not apply with one travel document and plan to enter with another.
Temporary Visa-Free Arrangements Need Extra Care
Some nationalities currently have limited visa-free entry arrangements with defined start and end dates, a maximum number of entries and a stay limit. For example, selected Gulf, East Asian and European nationalities have temporary arrangements during 2026–2027. These rules should be checked against your passport and the number of times you have already entered Azerbaijan during the relevant period.
If you are covered by a visa-free arrangement, a paid eVisa may not be the correct route. Read Azerbaijan visa-free countries before submitting an application.
When You Need Another Route
If your passport is not eligible, your planned visit involves paid work, or you need a type of travel document outside the ordinary eVisa route, use the contact option to obtain route-specific guidance before making fixed travel plans.
