Save the application ID, confirmation email, payment record and a copy of your submitted details. These make follow-up easier if the status does not change as expected.

If You Do Not Receive an Email

Check spam and junk folders first, then confirm that the email address was entered correctly. Do not create a second application before checking whether the first one is already active.

Approval and Arrival

Download and print the visa grant notice when available. Carry the same passport and supporting travel evidence. A grant notice is not an absolute promise of entry; arrival conditions still apply.

How to Read This Tanzania Visa Guidance

Visa rules depend on the passport used for travel, the purpose of the visit, the first destination and the documents that support the trip. A traveller should not select a category only because it appears convenient. The form, passport, travel dates and supporting evidence should describe the same journey from beginning to end.

Before You Start an Application

• Use the passport that will be used for boarding and entry.
• Check that the passport normally has at least six months validity and one unused visa page.
• Confirm the purpose of travel before choosing a visa category.
• Prepare a recent photograph, readable passport scan and return or onward travel evidence.
• Check all names, passport numbers, dates and destinations before payment.

Keep Your Application Identification Number

The application identification number and email used during submission are the starting point for a status check. Save them in two places and keep the payment confirmation with the application record.

What a Status Update May Mean

A submitted status does not necessarily mean that a visa has been granted. A request for information means the file needs attention; an approved notice should be read together with the issued validity and stay conditions; and a refusal or unsuccessful result should be reviewed before a new application is attempted.

If the Status Has Not Changed

Do not submit a duplicate application immediately. First check that the reference number is correct, confirm that the email address is being monitored and allow for the route-specific processing conditions. If the case may involve referral, the normal visitor estimate should not be assumed.

When to Contact Support

Contact support when the payment was taken but no application record appears, an uploaded file cannot be opened, a correction request is unclear or the status appears inconsistent with the email received. Include the reference number, not a full passport number in an unsecured message.
