How much does an Egypt eVisa cost?
The official Egyptian e-Visa portal lists the single-entry tourist eVisa at US$30 and the multiple-entry tourist eVisa at US$65. Both fees rose by US$5 in April 2026, from US$25 and US$60. The amount shown on the portal at the payment step is the one that applies to your application.
The fee is paid online in US dollars. It is the government fee for the visa itself. Your bank may add its own currency-conversion or international card charges, which are not part of the visa fee.

Single entry or multiple entry: which fee applies?
Choose the entry type that matches your itinerary when you apply. Do not assume a single-entry eVisa can be changed after it is issued.
- Single entry (US$30): one entry into Egypt for a stay of up to 30 days. Leaving Egypt uses the entry.
- Multiple entry (US$65): several entries within a 6-month validity period, with each stay limited to 30 days.
- Typical multiple-entry cases: a side trip to a neighbouring country and a return to Egypt, or a second visit within six months.
How eVisa fees compare with other entry options
The visa on arrival fee for a single entry rose from US$25 to US$30 on 1 March 2026, so a single-entry eVisa and a single-entry arrival visa now cost the same. The eVisa is the route that offers a multiple-entry option and lets you handle the application and payment before you fly.
Travellers who fly straight into the South Sinai resort area and stay there can be given a free entry stamp for up to 15 days, but it does not cover travel to Cairo, Luxor or the Nile Valley. Passengers on Egyptian airlines with a layover of 8 to 96 hours can use the free 96-hour transit visa scheme, which the Cabinet has extended to April 2027.
Reports in 2026 also mention a pilot of a card-payable digital arrival visa at Cairo Airport with a small extra issuance charge. Availability can change, so ask your airline or confirm with the official sources if this matters for your arrival airport.

Check that the fee shown matches the visa type you selected, single or multiple entry.

Pay online
Pay with an international bank card. If a payment fails, check with your card issuer before trying again so the same payment is not taken twice.

Save the records
Keep the payment confirmation and your application reference. A payment receipt is not the visa. The approved eVisa is issued after the application is reviewed.
Check the refund and refusal terms shown on the portal. Do not assume the fee is refundable if an application is refused or cancelled.
