What does an Egypt single-entry tourist eVisa allow?
A single-entry tourist eVisa allows one entry into Egypt for a tourism visit. It suits a straightforward holiday that starts when you arrive and ends when you leave the country. Leaving Egypt, even briefly, uses the one permitted entry.

Validity window versus length of stay
The validity window is the period in which you may enter Egypt. The permitted stay is counted from the day you enter. A 3-month validity does not mean a 3-month stay. Check the dates and entry type printed on your issued eVisa before you book flights and hotels.
When single entry fits and when it does not
- It fits a single trip with one arrival and one departure, for example Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, or a Red Sea holiday.
- It does not fit a trip where you leave Egypt and return, such as a side trip to a neighbouring country.
- It does not fit two separate visits within the same six months. A multiple-entry eVisa is designed for repeat entries.
If you might leave and re-enter Egypt, choose multiple entry when you apply. Do not assume a single-entry eVisa can be changed later.

What a tourist eVisa does not cover
- Work, study or residence. A tourist eVisa does not authorise any of them.
- A stay longer than the period shown on the eVisa. Extensions are handled by Egyptian immigration authorities and are not guaranteed.
- Business activity. If your trip involves more than tourism, check which visa category applies before you apply.

Do not assume so. Leaving Egypt uses the single permitted entry, so a return needs a new visa or a multiple-entry eVisa.
