After you submit, you receive a registration code that is used to look up the result and print an approved eVisa. Keep it safe. If the status does not move, remember that processing is counted in working days. If it says refused, read the rejection guide first.

What you need to check your status
When an application is submitted, the Vietnamese immigration system issues a registration code. That code is used to look up the result and, if the eVisa is granted, to print it. Keep it, together with the email address and details you used on the application.

What a status generally means
Wording can differ between systems, so use this as a general guide rather than an exact list of messages.
General meaning of Vietnam eVisa application statuses
Check your name, passport number, dates and entry gate on the eVisa.
Keep a printed copy with you, as well as a digital copy.
Remember you can enter only through the gate chosen on the application. See Vietnam eVisa entry ports.
The Vietnam Immigration Department recommends completing the pre-arrival form before you enter Vietnam, and it is required for arrivals at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat airport.
If you cannot find your registration code or result
Search your email, including spam and junk folders, for the confirmation.
Check that you are using the same email address and details as on the application.
Contact Vistoroute with your name and travel dates: [To confirm: Vistoroute support contact details and hours].
If the status has not changed
A status that stays the same for a few days is often normal, because processing is counted in working days. If it is longer than the stated time, follow the steps in our Vietnam eVisa processing time guide before contacting support.
Use the registration code issued when the application was submitted, along with the details you provided. If you applied through Vistoroute, follow the status steps shown on this page.
What is the registration code?
It is a code issued by the Vietnamese immigration system after an application is submitted. It is used to look up the result and print an approved eVisa.
My application has been processing for days. Is that normal?
It can be. Processing is counted in working days and can be longer around holidays. See the processing time guide before contacting support.
Where is my eVisa after approval?
An approved eVisa is issued as a document you download and print. Check your email and spam folder, and keep the registration code in case you need to look it up again.
I lost my registration code. What can I do?
Search your confirmation emails first. If you cannot find it, contact Vistoroute with your name and travel dates.
Does an approved status mean I can enter at any airport?
No. You can enter Vietnam only through the entry gate you selected on the application, and it must be one of the designated international gates.
Visa rules and fees are set by the Government of Vietnam and can change at short notice. This page is general information, not legal advice. Confirm current requirements with the relevant Vietnamese authorities before you travel.
