How to apply for a Thailand Tourist eVisa

The official Thai e-Visa process is completed online, but the correct category, responsible mission, document set, and payment details still depend on the applicant and travel purpose.

The official workflow in plain language

The e-Visa user materials identify the main stages below. The screens and document requests shown to you are the operative instructions.

Question What the official rules establish What you must verify
Account Create and activate an individual account, then sign in to the dashboard. Use an email address you can access throughout processing.
Application Start a new visa application and select the mission and category. Choose the mission and visa purpose that match your real situation.
Documents Upload the supporting files requested by the application. Follow the portal’s file, image, and document instructions.
Payment and status Pay through the official workflow and monitor the application status. Keep the receipt and respond only through official instructions.

The four stages

Create and activate

Register the account, verify the email, and access the dashboard.

Complete the form

Enter passport, personal, travel, and current-location information carefully.

Upload and pay

Attach the requested evidence, review the application, and complete payment.

Monitor and present

Check status, download the issued eVisa, and carry it with your passport.

Before you press submit

Compare every field against the passport and supporting documents. Names, passport numbers, dates, current location, intended entry, accommodation, and travel information should not contradict one another. Upload only clear, complete files in the formats accepted by the system.

If the portal or mission requests additional evidence, respond within the official workflow. Do not create a second application simply because the first one is under review unless the responsible authority instructs you to do so.
