Is the Tourist eVisa the right route for you?

Start with the purpose of your visit, then confirm whether your nationality and current location are eligible for the online route. Visa requirements and available options can vary by applicant and by the Thai mission responsible for the application.

Usually relevant when your visit is for

  • Holiday travel, sightseeing, and leisure activities.
  • Visiting family or friends in Thailand.
  • Other tourism-related activities listed in the official Thai e-Visa system.
  • A planned visit where your nationality does not qualify for the visa-exemption route, or where a visa is otherwise required.
Visa or exemption? A Tourist eVisa is not the same as a visa-exempt entry. Check the current official exemption rules for your passport before starting a visa application. If you travel under an exemption, the conditions and permitted activities are different.
