Documents and evidence the SMART visa may request
No single checklist fits every category, so build the file around the profile you are claiming: documents may be requested to support the specific category rather than a generic list. - Define the targeted industry: identify the Thai company or business activity and why it falls within the programme's targeted-industry framework.
- Prove the professional or investment profile with employment, qualification, ownership, investment, salary or startup documents that directly support the selected category.
- Secure endorsement evidence: ask the employer, startup or relevant agency what certification or endorsement it can provide before submission.
- For the SMART S example above, expect requests for the certified startup, ownership or director role, deposit and health insurance the published criteria name.
- Plan dependants separately: spouses and children have their own relationship and application evidence even when linked to the principal applicant.

How the SMART visa process runs, and what timing to expect
Endorsement and visa issuance are distinct steps. Ordinary employment still runs through the separate work-permit system.
